Cruise 2009

Welcome to the Carnival Triumph!

Diane studies up on all the exciting things to see and do in the Bahamas (or at least the things that are sponsored by the ship, and I'm sure they get a kickback on!).

Cathy stops our downstairs maitre d' Jogi for a photo, as he passes by where we were playing Scattergories. She's a sucker for a man in uniform!

Well, we didn't win team Scattergories. And I always win Scattergories. I guess I can't say that anymore!

Water. And wake. It's already starting to look turquoise!

Diane rocks the Fashion Bug sunglasses that her sister gave her on a recent trip that we took to Kentucky.

Hey, it's a funnel! What else can I say? It's very patriotic.

Diane discovers what she described as the richest, most delicious, dark chocolate blended coffee drink that she's ever had in her life. They were pretty darn good!

We're always up for a little mid-day karaoke at the little stage by the casino. Diane & I sang "Summer Nights" together, then Diane did "My Immortal" and I sang "Rock This Town".

As you might have guessed, this would be me singing "Rock This Town". Didn't we just go over this?

Holy craaap, this is an extraordinarily large bottle of Crown Royal in the gift shop onboard.

Hey hey hey, it's formal night! Or "elegant night" as Carnival has named it. These two stunning folks enjoyed a lovely dinner in the dining room.

But not before having a photo moment with mom, of course! It's amazing how I made very nearly the exact same crazy smile face in both of these pictures!

While killing some time before dinner, Cathy and mom look over the cigar menu in the Oxford Lounge.

There was a lively Latin music ensemble playing in the lounge, and mom and I decided to boogie!

Formal night means lobster night! My mom had looked forward to this dinner for months, and was not disappointed.

After dinner, we had a lovely swan on our bed, along with the usual chocolates and the next day's Capers.

Diane hangs out on the sofa in mom & Cathy's room while waiting for everyone to get ready for the evening show in the Rome Lounge.

In an attempt to recreate a cute moment from the last cruise, we decided to take a "full face" picture, with us demonstrating visually how full we felt. Diane still looked a little more "cute" than "full"!

I snuck a surprise shot while Diane & I were getting our dance on in the Hollywood Disco.
