The Quest For Twin Tattoos

Phase Two - The Road Trip: Northbound
As is usually the case, many fun things can be found both inside and outside the van while cruising down the highway.

1:08 pm - We begin with one of several blurry shots taken either through the windshield of the van, or through one of the windows, either open or closed. Next exit, Highway 13 North and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel.
This is a very far away shot of an unknown lighthouse taken from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel. I'd also like to point out that both Rob and Sam were sleeping during this phase of the trip. Slackers...
This was a silly sign that I had to photograph because it's very similar to the name of the place where I work. This picture didn't turn out very well, and I vowed to get a better shot on the way back home.
One of the great things about past family trips to South Of The Border has been the procession of entertaining billboards that stretches for hundreds of miles along I-95. Somehow, this Comfort Inn is advertised on a similar string of boring billboards for about 40 miles along Highway 13, so it simply had to be included in this journal. Plus, there was a huge inflatable Mountain Dew can at the place next door. All hail the giant can.
3:00 pm - I'm glad Maryland welcomed us because it wouldn't have been fun to have to turn around and go home after about 2 solid hours of driving.
