Welcome to the Carnival Fantasy!

Day 5: Nassau, Bahamas.

The standard "pose by the Atlantis" shot... check!

Even the not-so-clean water right by the ship was clear enough to see some fish. Impressive!

We started the day at the Sharkee'z/Harley Davidson gift shop. Here, I try to help a worker carry a really heavy bucket.

What knight in their right mind would ever carry their sword like this? I mean, really?

We decided to leave after it got all Jurassic Park up in there. Scary stuff.

Inside the Christ Church Cathedral, Nassau's oldest church. And apparently, the only one of three that would turn out to be open for visiting this day.

The Government House and Christopher Columbus statue, guarded by lots of mean-looking military dudes. We dared not enter.

This police car was loud. It hurt my ears. A photo was taken.

The back side of church number two, sealed up tight with bars on the windows. I feared this might be the last photo that was ever taken of my aunt Jeanne.

Hard Rock style. I had to stop in and get my pin.

Our day ended back at Sharkee'z, upstairs in the restaurant, where we were promised all things conch, and free Jell-o shots!

The free Jell-o shots turned out to be true, though pretty much devoid of alcohol.

Diane prepares for conch fritter deliciousness.

I'm so confused! Unisex bathrooms? Couples bathrooms? Transgender bathrooms? What's going on here?!

I had to grab a photo with the restaurant's namesake, Sharkee. After this, we popped through the straw market, where Jeanne grabbed some souvenirs, and headed back to the ship.

Diane, rocking a coffee drink and an award medal.

Formal night number two, photo taken by our roving bar waiter, Jargivier.

Posing with my man Jogi.

All the motion of the ocean eventually got to poor Diane.

We finally scored a blue-eyed towel animal, probably a pig, though he still likes to live on the other corner of the bed.
