Cruise 2012

Welcome to the Carnival Fantasy!

Day 2: At Sea.

Diane poses with the first dark chocolate blended coffee drink of the cruise.

The French left us a box of Crayons De Golf. How Grosse!

Formal night means ice-carving demonstration during the day. This was a repeat of the Indian head carving we'd seen before, to be displayed somewhere during formal night. In the blue is the lower back half of social host Shelly from England.

The three lushes and our plethora of wine glasses... No, no... it's a wine tasting! If you add all five glasses together, you have maybe half a glass of wine. Meh.

Tea time in the Cleopatra lounge. We were hanging in there well ahead of tea time, so they ended up locking us in while they set the tables, much to the dismay of the people peeking in the windows wondering why we were so special and they weren't allowed in yet!

What else would you have for a proper tea time? English Teatime Tea!

Our dining room maitre'd, Jogi from India, in his sexy flashing glasses. He had been on staff during our 2009 cruise on the Triumph out of Norfolk! Another old friend on this cruise: roving magician Tim from the 2011 Pride cruise!

Towel animal number two: a demon... dog? Pig? I'm not entirely sure, but the red eyes are unsettling.

Diane browses the karaoke selection in a "can" at the Cat's Lounge.

Day 3: At Sea.

We did meet our room steward, Daniel from Jamaica. I forgot to ask him why he's been leaving us demon animals... anyway...

Exploring the ship, this be a view of the lobby from about 5 floors up this time.

One major improvement since last cruise: these bright, colorful signs places all around the Lido deck dining area. These made it very easy to understand what food was located where.

Golden trophies number two (for Preston) and three (for me) were scored this day at Cartoon Trivia and Food Trivia.

Nap time! All that brain work wore me out.

There's nothing like a little pre-dinner sushi to bolster a fellow's spirits.

Our head waiter, Kaloyan from Bulgaria, poses with a bottle of wine for Jeanne. Our other wait staff, to be pictured later, were Joaquim from India and Ionut from Romania.

Hey, it's later. Our waiters did a dance to entertain us. On the left, Ionut and the awesome dancing costume. On the right, Joaquim.

Tonight, we noticed that: A) we still have a demon animal, a red-eyed elephant. B) our towel animal seems to be getting progressively further away from the corner of the bed where our "Fun Times" lives... odd...
