Day 7: Saturday, January 7, 2012. After rising at 9:00am and enjoying breakfast on Lido, we decided that there was still enough room for ice-cream. When is there ever NOT room for ice-cream?!
I don't know when or why this face happened, but I'm sure it was awesome.
We hit some trivia, lunch on Lido (including the chocolate buffet), then came back to the room around 2:45pm to find our debarkation information. This made us instantly sad.
We caught a free tour of the galley at 3:15pm, where all sorts of people used stainless steel things to make us yummy things to eat!
But we didn't get to eat anything on the tour. We just walked through in a big line, like this. We also pointed at things and said "wow" a lot.
Hey, it's a meal cheat sheet for the whole week! And here we thought our waiters were awesome and had everything memorized... Tsk tsk...
One more shot of stainless steel and food and people.
We took this lewd picture in front of a naked lady backdrop. It was awesome. The ship's decor is a cross between Renaissance and Fifty Shades of Grey.
At dinner, we told Emily & Dennis they had to make our trademarked "this is your last dinner on the ship" sad faces. Yeah. They suck.
We were interrupted from our sad-face-making when our assistant waiter had a seizure... I mean... started dancing in the middle of everything.
Back to the sad-face-making... this is how professional cruisers do it. Watch and learn.
Our towel offering was a heart-breaking heart, and the rest of the evening was consumed by game shows, trivia, and...
the Carnival Legends show, where guests onboard get to audition, then get chosen to dress and sing as a celebrity in a musical revue show. Diane played Madonna on a previous cruise, but opted to sit out this time around.
Day 8: Sunday, January 8, 2012. US Customs Checkpoint. Some careless fool must've ignored all 27 warnings about not bringing fresh fruit back into the country. Let this poor, abandoned banana serve as a grim reminder to us all. The End.
