Day 5: Thursday, January 5, 2012. Nassau. We got up at 9:00am, grabbed a Lido breakfast, and headed to the Serenity area to snap a few photos before venturing into Nassau.
We arrived at the British Colonial Hilton around noon. This be the view from the beach, overlooking my feet, a bunch of sand, and a bunch of water. Nice.
Diane found a nifty new idea for a cupholder, as there was nowhere else convenient for them to be placed in our cabana without risk of them toppling over.
Diane poses in paradise before we headed out to explore the city around 4:15pm.
Outside the Tortuga Rum Cake shop with our pirate buddy. We headed back to the ship around 5:00pm to prepare for the evening's feast.
Hey, those are some snazzy, slightly sun-baked folks!
And those are some equally snazzy, though slightly less sun-baked folks. Hah.
After dinner, we hit up some sushi, then came to the cabin to find a ducky towel friend on the bed.
Game shows in the main lounge, and Dennis got to play! And he... almost won! Yay!!!
Our comrades headed back to the room, while Diane & I decided to hit up Band Karaoke at 10:00pm. In this event, you sing karaoke-style with a monitor, while being backed by a live band. Here, Diane flips through the song book.
If memory serves, we each did two songs. Here, Diane takes on "Bring Me To Life" by Evanescence. Her second selection was "Black Velvet" by Alannah Myles.
This would be me singing "867-5309 (Jenny)" by Tommy Tutone. My other jam was "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz.
