Cruise 2005

Diane poses on the cruise pier in her Grand Cayman shirt purchased at the Tortuga Rum Factory gift shop.

Hey, it's me again, posing against the railing of the cruise pier. We had our picture taken with a Carnival staff members dressed as a rasta-man, but didn't want to have to buy the pictures.

Fortunately, this lady and this sign welcomed us to Ocho Rios, and we were able to pass through all the fences and security checkpoints, feeling that much safer.

Even though we were still hassled to take a survey, get Diane's hair braided (twice), and do something involving the beach or watersports or something, we did some shopping and had fun. Here, Diane poses with her bag from Del Sol, which offers products that change color in the sun.

This was part of a Beatles revue gone wrong somehow. Karl pulled some of us from the audience, and you can see the little girl with the mop-top wig. I apparently got the John Lennon wig.

Awakening to find that she still didn't feel very good, Diane decided to spend the next morning in bed.

This was how sad my face spontaneously looked when I realized that Diane wasn't going to be able to get up and have fun on the boat with me.

On the Lido Deck, I went to an ice-carving demonstration where a guy turned a 300-pound block of ice into ...a swan! I tried to do the same thing later to an ice cube from the little ice bucket in our room, but it didn't go quite as well.

A picture of our dinner-mates taken on the last night of the cruise... Left to right we have John & Jody, who have been on 11 cruises in about 4 years, and Jerry. Jerry's girlfriend Kristy was feeling ill and didn't make it to dinner.
